Ein Kalziummangel (Ca) kann also durch eine zu hohe relative Luftfeuchtigkeit (RH) verursacht werden. Bei einer niedrigen relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit (RH) ist der Dampfdruck der Umgebung niedriger und die Pflanze wird transpirieren. Die Pflanze schlie\u00dft nun ihre Spalt\u00f6ffnungen, um den Wasserverlust und das Verwelken zu minimieren. Infolgedessen nimmt die Photosynthese ab und das Wachstum der Pflanzen wird
